African Pompano Mounts.  Juvenile African Pompano have unique thread-like fin rays that can be even longer than the fish itself.  These usually disappear as the fish grows in size.  This fish is actually a member of the Jack family.  Most African Pompanos are released alive by conservation-minded anglers.  As of 2008, the All Tackle World Record African Pompano was weighed in at just over 50-pounds, and was landed in Daytona Beach, Florida.
